The lady in white

The rain over 1 campus Martius Detroit

Wash me and drench me,
Take away with you ,
Dissolve all the memories,
I have of my dreams,
A gloom now shrouds downtown,
Soaking the sublime tears off his cheeks.
Let the breeze cleanse his innermost portals
Wished he from the deck of 1 Campus Martius.
The Penobscot was kissing the clouds,
And over there, the tall shires of Fisher
Tickled the belly of the angry clouds.
The thundering heavens cannot perturb more
An already meek soul.
He looked around and wished
The rains to seep down
To his bones like a rancid reagent
And dissolve with it
The endless hopes and dreams he had.
