The lady in white

Crumbling Dreams

Dreams as lofty as the mountains,
Kissing the azure sky.
We made them with our bare hands,
And anchored them with our trust.
But little did we know our base was faulty,
It had rotten lies in the core.
And one fine day our dreams
Came crumbling down,
Sending trails of happiness,
Memories and beautiful visions
Down into the vast ocean of nothing
But hopelessness and misery.
