The lady in white

We

Heavens were crestfallen,
The moon waned when we shone,
The tides were simply a lullaby,
The sun was dark for reasons unknown.

Explication's not needed,
Our aisle has been strewn with flowers.
We are glorified by the golden sun,
While our halo is that of the moon.

We don't need anyone,
We'r a world of our own.
Where the tides are simply a lullaby,
And the moon wanes for reasons unknown.
